I think this is something that’s not being considered enough. This really struck me a few months ago when Trump was talking about Portland being some lawless, smoldering ruin when everything there was just fine (except for the ICE presence ofc). Obviously Trump lies about everything but the way he talked about Portland was odd, like he really believed it. Also just a weird thing to lie about, when it’s so obviously not only not true but incredibly not true.

I think the people around Trump were feeding him false info about Portland. Probably telling him things like “sir Portland is literally burning to the ground and crime is out of control”. I honestly think they are probably feeding him a steady diet of AI slop videos and telling him it’s what’s actually happening in the world.

He really believed the photoshopped fingers really had tattoos that spelled MS13. Not glyphs that mean MS13, but he thought they actually had MS13 tattooed on their fingers.

The thing about Portland was pretty easily explained… The night before he made the comments, Fox News had been running footage from the 2020 protests which were pretty severe and ran for 100+ days.

Naturally they didn’t mark it as being video from 2020.

Wait, who was President back then? Oh, riiiight!

Bonus, the federal action they were taking in 2020 was 100% illegal also:

I don’t think Stephen Miller technically counts as a person. Unless a pencil-necked manifestation of pure insecurity is considered a person.

He’s essentially controlled by them. Using him for his cult of personality. Without him they all fall and fall hard. None of them are anything without Trump and they realised this during his first term when they went from “Trump is the worst thing for America and the party and should be nowhere near politics” to “hit me harder daddy”. Disgusting how they debase themselves for fame and fortune and power.

I saw a video of Rafael Cruz speaking (or rather shouting) and getting very angry about Trump back in I think 2015. You could see he truly hated him. Wish I could find it!
