As an Australian, I find it really sad that the USA, the country that pretty much saved the world from totalitarianism during WW2, is pretty much the LEAST democratic western country right now.

They didn’t save Europe out of some innate moral force. It was just bad for business if the Nazi or Commies won.
The US is not the good guy and they in no way ended fascism. They have always been the chief purveyors of it.
Imagine how pissed and dismayed some of us Americans feel.
