They are lying in hopes of keeping the centrist vote leaning Republican. Once they secure that it’s back to business as usual. If they actually did anything with any real effect before they started flapping their gums I might think this was a little more like regret. But they haven’t and it’s not.
Well, it’s a good thing the only thing that matters to him is Elon Musk coming back into the fold to hack the midterms.
