LMAO, I keep saying the same thing up here in WA state where it’s “As Blue” as California now. Yet somehow the last few initiatives to pass (Heh, democracy!) have been stricken down by the courts (who I thought were supposed to be non-partisan?)
What was stricken down was the natural gas initiative and it was struck because initiatives are supposed to tackle one issue, not multiple. It was Let’s Go Washington and Heywood’s fault for not properly writing the initiative and trying to trick voters.
Our initiative process will never be democratic as long as you can pay for signature gathering, which is simply “money in politics”.
