    probably felt like a bribe. money grubber are going to hate this move, because it might set a precedent and expectations.

      It was a standard inflation raise that applied to a bunch of stuff since the position had the same pay for years.

        And rejecting it sets the precedent that he feels he doesn’t deserve a raise.
