Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) on Monday said he will not be intimidated by the Pentagon’s investigation into “serious allegations of misconduct” against him after he called for U.S. military service members to disobey any illegal orders handed down by the Trump administration.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth earlier in the day announced the Pentagon would conduct a “thorough review” of allegations against the Arizona senator, who was one of six Democratic lawmakers who appeared in a video that infuriated the Trump administration.
Kelly, a retired Navy captain, pointed to his lengthy military career and disputed that he did anything to merit the review.
Good. Stand your fucking ground.
So is the message here that the government is investigating Sen Kelly because they disagree with what he said? Soldiers… Should?.. Follow illegal orders? Are we this deep into fascism already?
Unfortunately yes. In another post someone asked “what’s to stop Trump bombing Chicago?”. The only real answer is American service members all the way down the chain of command disobeying the blatantly illegal order to bomb Chicago.
At the end of it all, political power really rests in who has the biggest stick, and the biggest stick in the world is the US military.
If the military is beholden to Trump, then he has his kingship, if they honor their oath to the constitution, he doesn’t.
It’s all made out of fucking Popsicle sticks.
I hope Kelly leads the revolution
So as a country we’re okay with our elected officials being censored by the government?
I just want to hear someone say that. Because I’m not.
Just look at Trump’s approval ratings. That’s your answer.
As a country, everyone is hyper-individualistic and thinking about the survival of them and their offspring. The cold war never ended, and we’ve been gutted from the inside out. All evil needs is for good to do nothing.
Now all that being said; this bipartisan theatre is centered around the fact that 9% of college grads are unemployed and both parties are predicting that number to go to 25% due to AI. They’ve been quoted as fearing the resulting civil unrest that will spur from a generation with no offspring or hope.
Now THAT makes sense when looking at all the empty finger-wagging. Don’t even get me started on how close they are to powering CPUs with human brains… the matrix is a prophecy at this point.

He knows he’s on the right side of the law, and the right side of history.
